Testimonials

In May 2018 I received a letter inviting me for a project management course: NQF level 4. The programme offered basic fundamental principles of project management in general and as much as it was general principles, I was able to relate to the everyday activities in the office and essentially developed a better understanding of why we do most of the things we do, but most importantly how to consistently stay on the lane of the company’s “vision and mission statement”. So for a solid foundation I would suggest that all staff members go through this training.

The Project Management Learnership programme has equipped me with effective management skills and knowledge which is an essential part of our Engineering profession. The learnership has taught me the importance of goal setting and objectives and I can now utilise the skills attained on the course practically on the various projects that are currently underway and in future projects.

I strongly believe in the importance of improvement, I readily take on a challenge and have a willingness to acquire knowledge. After attending the Junior Management Programme, I have been able to more easily identify and improve on specific qualities within myself and my team, which require more attention. I have been able to view myself from a more objective view which can only lead to self-improvement and build a stronger team. It has been enlightening and extremely insightful and was definitely a huge benefit.

The Junior Management Programme assisted me in developing the skills and knowledge to effectively manage a team and also enhanced my management and leadership abilities. I gained the confidence and capabilities required to respond effectively to current and future challenges in my role. My self-awareness has also increased tremendously through the programme.

I found that the Mentorship Programme helped to support and encourage me to manage my own learning and professional application to maximise my potential, develop my skills, improve my performance and become the person that I want to be. The Mentorship Programme is a powerful development tool that can help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
I have found that in a mentoring relationship, you will have an opportunity to discuss, receive honest and constructive feed-back and get access to the information, knowledge and experience from more experienced staff members. I am grateful to all those who have helped me achieve success and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their support.

With the NC bursary, I was able to finish my B-tech studies and it helped me in developing my skills. The years I spent working before furthering my studies exposed me to design, site work and the procedures required as an engineer. This gave me confidence when it came to my studies thus gaining more knowledge.
